Alarm Problemoptimusfine 11-30-2003, 08:55 PM I Have A 1996 Ford Taurus. I Have The Two Button Remote Control Entry Alarm. The Other Day I Entered The Car From The Passenger Side Front Door. After Doing So The Alarm Acted Strange, Resulting In Popping The Trunk, Cycling The Automatic Door Locks And Beeping. I Pushed My Unlock Button On The Remote To Stop The Strange Behavoir (in Addition To Closing All Doors And Trunck), Then Pressed The Lock Button. Now When I Press The Lock Button, The Alarm Doesn't Go On. THE Automatic Locks Still Lock, But The Alarm Does Not Go On. Does Anyone Know How To Reset This? Thank You A Bunch. ponchonutty 11-30-2003, 11:12 PM I Have A 1996 Ford Taurus. I Have The Two Button Remote Control Entry Alarm. The Other Day I Entered The Car From The Passenger Side Front Door. If it is, it's made from CodeAlarm and the remotes are plagued with problems after being used for a while. You might want to use the other remote or take off the one you have been using and see how it works. optimusfine 12-01-2003, 01:48 AM Yes. It Is The Ford Alarm. And It Is Code Alarm. I Have A New Remote And One That Is A Couple Years Old. They Both Result In The Same Problem. ponchonutty 12-01-2003, 09:27 AM Yes. It Is The Ford Alarm. And It Is Code Alarm. The only thing I can think of for you to do is either unplug it or ground out the disarm wire so it doesn't rearm. FYI, usually when a alarm goes nuts like this, it is because of a loose ground going into the brain. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
