`01 Stratus R/T
My mom sold her `97 Avenger ES for a 2001 Stratus R/T, wow what a nice car!! I loved the Avenger so much but didnt have the cash to buy it from her but im hoping to buy the Stratus in 3 years (If my CO-OP pays good). She got Black with the aluminum rims, and most importantly a 5-speed manual. Wow has the 3.0 realy developed into a sweet engine. I wish i could swap out my 3.0 for a new one! I love driving it too (when she lets me)! The power is so much smoother and there is alot more of it.
Hopefully mine someday!
Is there anyone on these that loves Mopars?

I was thinking about getting one of these, comparing it to the Acura RSX. This car is a tad bigger, but I would have bought the RSX. Instead I bought a 01 Civic. They are damn nice though.

Ya, the RSX is a nice car.
I really like the Stratus R/T you can also get the Intrepid R/T or the Sebring LXi. They are all the same car except you can't get the manual in the Sebring
I really do wish that Chrysler would start putting the turbos back on their cars. Too bad nobody knew how to take care of them so they did away with the turbos.

`01 Civic?? OK well first I hope to god at least you have some plans on making it fast! Not that they are a bad car (more reliable than the stratus), but just not comparable to the stratus! The RSX is a little more comparable though with its potent 200HP 4, and one up on the Stratus with the 6-speed!
Yeah we will all be dreaming about the day that Mopar brings back the turbo! If by miracle Chrysler starts to sell 100% better, they might consider something cool like that. Look at the new Hemi for example, youll be lucky if you ever see it (Hemi C, or even the RWD 300N thats on the drawing boards). How about a Roots blower to put the 300M in contrention with the Grand Prix GTP But who knows maybe if Daimler will do some research and maybe they could sells a turbo again. Thats a beautiful LeBaron GTC by the way.

'01 R/t
I think that the 2001 Stratus R/T was a limited production-run car. In fact I'm almost sure of it. Plus they've been making R/T Stratus' in Mexico since 1996.

Have an '02 Stratus R/T. great car, comfy back seats, huge trunk, solid 3.0 V6 and 5-speed (Stratus and Sebring coupes made by Mitsubishi for Chryco). Have made some performance mods. Body kits now made for it. I have a family so I needed more than a sport coupe with tiny back seats and trunk (no Eclipse or RSX). Reminds me of my '69 Charger: fast, big, fast, comfy, fast, reliable, did I mention FAST?
In a car mag article, R/t compared to Monte Carlo SS and Mustang GT. Mustang GT was faster, but not as agile, well made or comfortible as the R/T: the R/T was judged a better sporty touring car.
