Turn signal

I have a 1999 dodge caravan when i turn on the left signal sometimes it flashs then it won't flash. I was wondering if the 4 way flasher relay has anything to do with the turn signals because if I wiggle the relay the signal starts to flash any help would be grateful. Thanks

Re: Turn signal

I have a 2000 and my problem with the turn signal was the flasher. The flasher is a combination turn signal and hazard light relay.

On some of the Chrysler minivans if the rear taillight is burnt out then the flashers or signals will not function properly. Check your bulbs just to rull out that possibilty.

Re: Turn signal

It is very common on 96' to 2000 Chrysler minivans to have this problem. Replacing the combo flasher (hazards/turn signal flasher) and spraying the contacts with a contact cleaner will resolve the problem!!

What if the turn signals work intermittantly? Sometimes they are fine, other times they are dead. Sometimes turning the car off and restarting solves the problem, but not always. (sounds like microsoft was involved in the design)

The Combination Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Module is mounted under the Dash (near the floor) just below and to the right of the (Emergency Brake Pedal/Parking Brake ) on the Junction Block
for Dodge 3.0L Caravan 2000, Minivans.
