Can anyone tell me how to change the cv joints on a 98 windstar, or tell me where i can find out this information?
What is the best way to disconnect the axle so i can get at the cv joint?

It would be easier to buy rebuilt half shafts and just replace them.

I agree. Buy new (remanufactured) half shafts and replace them. About $100/per side at autozone or similar. Any Haynes manual can tell you how. Not terribly difficult. You will need to "borrow" a couple of tools at autozone.
