My 94 recently had shocks, struts, and balljoints replaced. Still I'm hearing clunking noise from the front of the van. Could it be the control arm bushings or bushings in general? No problems in drivabilility, but the noise is really annoying!!!

I have a 93 Plymouth Voyager that I also replaced the ball joints (several times) along with the struts but the noise was still there. The noise was kind of a metal to metal clunk that was worse the colder it got. I finally found out the noise was coming from the front engine mount after my transmission started to slip and they recomended to replace the rubber mount as long as they were in there. They solved the problem when my own mechanic couldn't solve the problem after years or this problem. Price of mount $45.00 and not sure how much labor but I think it's pretty easy to do. One thing you might try is, shoot some house hold caulk into the holes in the rubber mount and see if that deadens the noise a bit. Good luck!

Yeah, the colder it gets, the worse it sounds. Sounds like the exact same thing I have. I'll give that a try. thanks for your help

We have a 96 caravan that we also had the struts, and sway bar links replaced in and then it started the suspension noise.. After we had the antisway bar link bushing replaced the noise went away.. Apparently they were worn and until the sway bar links were replaced, it did not move the anti-sway bar that much..

I'm pretty sure you mean swaybar bushings sdunt? Right? The sway bar links do not have replaceable bushings, at least not on a 96' Caravan. The links have to be replaced in one piece. I have seen this many times on 96'-2000 Caravans.
EVH5150 has a 94 minivan and they are a totally different animal!! I would check the swaybar at the outer bushings EVH. After getting all that work done, the sway bar may have been shifted slightly to one side causing it to come in contact with a lower control arm. It may require a new set of bushings, in which case it would be a good idea to replace the inner AND outer swaybar bushings!!
