ef rear disc brakesTwainturbo 12-13-2001, 07:34 PM does anyone here know how hard it is to swap on rear discs on an ef civic? i know eg civic si's and del sol's have rear discs you can just pull and bolt on, but i dont know of any models of 88-91 that do, can anyone tell me which, if any models came w/ rear discs or if i am going to have to resort to a pricey AEM kit or something similar. mellowboy 12-13-2001, 07:51 PM The 1990 -91 crx Si models have rear brake disc. You can use those :) 91b16sedan 12-13-2001, 08:14 PM I think you can use the 90-93 integra brakes also. This will give you a bigger brake set up then the crx si would. EightOhOne 12-13-2001, 09:28 PM i have 3rd gen teg disks on mine......very easy swap EightOhOne 12-13-2001, 09:29 PM oh yeah...just get the whole control arm/disc/ebrake cable assembly..... unbolt your old one....and bolt the new one on, and bleed the brakes Twainturbo 12-14-2001, 01:34 AM sweet. so 3rd gen teg's brakes bolt right up then? what year are the third gens, 90-93 right? sastanley 12-14-2001, 11:33 AM Um...please correct me if I am wrong but 90-93 Integra = 2nd gen...but you got the year right - the majority of 90-93 parts (excluding engines) easily fit on 4g Civics...suspension & brake parts mostly I think. Since they started the 2nd gen Teg in '90 - they used the 4g Civic as a base for it and went from there. Twainturbo 12-14-2001, 07:40 PM sweet, thanks for the info, my mind is now made up for my next car purchash EightOhOne 12-14-2001, 10:58 PM heres a pic of my rear disc.....cant see it too well..its almost as big as my front rotor:o 91b16sedan 12-15-2001, 02:30 PM Once I am done putting my b16 in and I get some more money I want to do the 90-93 teg rear disk. :alien2: Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
