WTF how come honda put those weak ass slide control switch on the 96-98?? well I have a 98 Civic EX and I want knobs damnit and the way I see it all that is, is a variable control right? So if I were to buy a 99-00 dash I could stick it in and wire it all up. I plan on glassing the dash anywayz...let me know if this is how it is. I do believe I am right though. All it is, is a variable switch. So as long as you had another switch with the same amount of inputs it should work...right? lol

As long as the existing slide controls dont use cables (dont know when they stopped that) to control the system, and you're sure that the pin configurations are the same for the plugs, it'll work.
