Alright alright. I've discussed wheel options in the wheel forum and decided on Rotas. Rotas may not be the best looking wheels out there but they're inexpensive, pretty nice looking, and light. I just need some more info from a larger base of people than that smaller forum.

What are the weights for the 16 inch slipstream and subzero? I'm getting a variety of answers from the sources I've checked.

Can anyone speak to the quality of Rotas?

What Rota finishes look best on a black car?

What do people think of a white finish (that's what I have now)?

Anyone have any pictures of Subzeros and Slipstreams on cars?

Please don't give me the "just go with what YOU like" reply, I will slay thee if you do so. I KNOW it's my choice to make, I'm just gathering opinions.

Rotas are good, as they are lighter than most, decent quality, and about a quarter the price of the ones they resemble.

Thanks JCRX. I knew about Rota's crappy site already. The wheel weight link you gave said that Slipstreams were 13.5 and Subzeros were 14.5 for every future poster's reference. Either way, they're a whole lot lighter than the 19.6 pound 16 inch Tecnomagensio Sports I have on there now. Check out the wheel forum for the full story of why I have to get new wheels.

I'm my own hero for finding that pic. You're right, that is a nice look. I was scared of the bronze, but it is pretty subdued.

Rotas are very good wheels IMO. I have a set of "15 silver C8's on my '00 Civic coupe, and I love them. Well I'm kinda bored of them actually and going to be getting new rims soon, but I'm going to keep my Rotas and use them solely as my racing wheels. I auto-X in my C8's and haven't had a problem of quality yet such as them failing or like splitting in half on me while doing some extreme lateral-G manuvers. :p Over all I'd give them a :thumbsup:

As for colors, on a black car either bronze or silver/titanium is what I'd go with personally. Slips don't really look that good unless they are black, but if they make them in titanium, than that may not be so bad either.

Silver - Check out the link I posted above. The bronze is pretty subtle. Deinitely not blang blang (my term for loud, inexpensive looking). Rotas come in a bunch of finishes, but not titanium I don't think.

Some shade of silver is a safe bet, but bronze is something to consider. I'm leaning to Slips even though a lot of people have them. I think they look the best of the Rota's, are the lightest, and no one has them out where I am, OHIO! I just moved from Boston.

I know for a fact that C8's come in a titanium like color. Something between silver and gunmetal, I've seen it before and wished I waited longer to get mine so I could have had that color. The best Rotas I've seen by far are a special edition set of C8's that come in gunmetal with a POLISHED finish lip. By far a very sweet set of wheels those are!

...I think I can safely say that the first hatch has some sort of dull Bronze (which looks good IMO) finish that is not Sports Bronze, and the second hatch has a Bronze finish (which looks scary IMO).
