I was at work, parked in parking garage. It rained, water seaped thru cracks, and dripped on my paint. Water has calcium, I didnt know until 2 days later. Calcium eats paint. Cannot find anything to get it off with. Used CLR sparingly, but paint still feals rough where the calcium was. Any suggestions??
Try some rubbing compound if that does not work take it to a detail shop and have buffed....Your insurance company will pay for damage if you have full coverage. Don't let them tell you its an act of nature. The detail shop will charge you about a frankie to do this. Make sure you know the shop is good with a buffer. Black paint is easy to burn through without noticing. Inspect the job afterward and look closely at the edges and look for a faded or brown looking area, This will be signs the paint was burnt through. On black cars I have seen body shops touch areas like that up with black grease pencils. If you come back later they will pass the blame.
