Question Possible Lifter Problem???

I have a 94 Caravan with a 3.0. Every once in a while I'll get a ticking noise from one of the heads, usually during start up and cold weather. Once the motor warms up, the ticking goes away. Is this a normal occurence? I'm guessing that the lifters are running dry until the oil reaches them. What do ya think? Thanks.

Re: Possible Lifter Problem???

You could add a lifter supplement although it's quite normal even on the newer vehicles. I wouldn't worry one bit. If it lasts longer than a few minutes and is disturbing, or gets to sound more like a dull knock, get it checked. good luck
