Best Exhaust?? Best Mods??
Ok, I know this one may start some debates, but I must ask... In your opinion, what is the best exhaust for the LT1 Camaro? I mean in terms of sound, look, and power gain?? And also, what would be the first three modifications you would suggest for the LT1 Camaro??

hello buddy its me, bet ya dont know it is hahaha-> look at my sig... Anyway... You are correct only to a point "there is no replacement blah" A 5l motor turbo will make more power than a 3l turbo w/same mods. So you are correct there. But I know plenty of 1.8 Hondas that run 12's You should know that as well... As you know I dont know much bout american cars...
Id say Borla, or Dynomax/superflo I hear there domestic line is good..

hehe, I know plety of 4 cylinder 1.8l Honda's that run 12's. That, however, doesn't make up for the lack of displacement. I know of plenty of V8's with huge displacement that run in the 9s. And that's with NO form of forced induction. So I stick with my previous claim that there is no replacement for displacement, not even a turbo. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Best Exhaust: Hooker Longtube Headers into Mufflex Exhaust.
Best First Mods: SLP's Cold Air Induction, Hooker Headers, Mufflex Exhaust, Vigilante 2800 stall converter, "LT4 Hotcam" with valvetrain upgrades, Stage 2 Heads, 3.73 Gear....
You can then either spray the car or throw a blower on it.

Borla exhaust is the best. I had a cat back set on my 99 T/A, it definately helped. And I also had SLP headers, those are good.

Borla = Too Expensive. You can gain more power for less $.
My favorite SOUNDING exhaust is the one I listed above.
Cheapest, most powerful would be the set of longtube headers into an off-road Y-Pipe and have a cutout welded into it so the exhaust would dump out BEFORE the muffler.
Essentially, it's like running open headers.
PS - This works BEST on large displacement motors or at least a Heads/Cam LT1...

Blackbird01: where is a good place to get a Mufflex exhuast, and what is a good price? I'm thinking of switching from my Flowmaster.

A question: Which model flowmaster exhaust do you have, and how do you like it, sound, look, and performance wise???

Cat-Back systems:
Corsa Exhaust
B&B Tri-Flo
Borla
Headers:
If emissions is not a problem Hooker Long Tubes!
If not SLP 1 3/4" shorties for 93-95 OBD1 computer cars,
All other shorty headers are about the same:
Edelbrock
Mac-TruFit(by far the best shorty)
hooker super-comp shorties
Arizona Speed and Marine
Cold Air Induction:
SLP
K&N FIPK
Moroso
LPE (Lingenfelter)
Arizona Speed and Marine
All depends what you want to spend,The Cold Air kits are all virtually the same as far as horsepower made!Find the look that you like best.
