Looking at enhancing my tranny but I dont want to switch over to a stick for several reasons... One being the speed of the shift. I just wanted to know if there is a quality difference between these two companies and if so what it is. I was thinking about going with a B&W Megashifter with acompete trans pack (Shifting enhancement). At this current time I have no idea what trans I have on my sunbird but I do know its stock... I havent really had the energy to look it up or look at it... theres a foot of snow on the ground... Im not getting under my car lol. But it is the stock trans for the 91 sunbird SE. If anyone knows anything about shifters and shift enhancement im just looking for the best quality.

Thx

Is it a 3 speed transaxle? I think that's what my wife had in her '93 Sunbird. I've got the Chilton's manual on that car, probably covers the '91 model year too.

I don't know if B&M will make a shift kit for your trans or not. They're mostly into high performance rear wheel drive stuff, IIRC.

Try looking at Transgo. They make a shift kit for my Tempo (3 speed ATX) and Taurus (4 speed AXOD). The guy who designs those is Gil Younger, who is said to be the Smokey Yunick of the transmission world.

hahah I just realised that I said B&W that whole post.... maybe I should start paying attention to what I am writting. Anyways Thanks for the advice I will look into that here today. Ya its is the 3 speed and I didnt know that B&M were only preformance RWD parts.

Thx
Willy

B&M may have something for your trans - please don't rely on MY memory!! I know their shifters will fit our stuff. Getting one for my old Tempo.
