Buick Skylark motor swap

I have a 1988 buick skylark limited coupe with a 3.0 h.o. motor and was wanting to get some opinions on swapping a grand national or turbo regal motor into this car. Ex: Is it possible ?, Estimated cost ?, Could i keep it front-wheel drive ?, And any other comments positive/negative and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,
-Andrew

Re: Buick Skylark motor swap

The GN motor won't work for FWD applications. Have you thought of an L67 (engine used in the Regal GS) swap? Ask around on www.l67swap.com .

Re: Buick Skylark motor swap

The SC 3.8 will be more than enough power for your skylark. Buick actually did put the L67(Series I, I believe) in the skylark GS a few years ago

Hey before you go and do anything if you want to put a Gn motor in that some of the real early pontiac ferios (A.K.A bonfires.) the trans axle was just like a 200-r4 with the same bolt pattern as the RWD tranny. Ill get some more info on it for you. it can be done!!!!
