Question Heater Core

Has anyone every heard a gurgling sound or the sound of water running when you first startup that day? I usually hear it when I actually step on the gas for the first time for about 10 seconds or so and then its fine while I drive. I flushed out the system with a flush machine and the thermostat removed. I flushed with a cleaner and about 12 gallons of hot water and then filled back up with Dexcool and it seemed fine. Now that I have a waterpump leak I hear it again worse than before. Any suggestions beside fixing the waterpump which I will be doing shortly anyhow.

Re: Heater Core

I have always had that sound since I bought my 2000 blazer in 2003 from GM Optimum. A friend who is a mechanic told me that was normal for these vehicles however my heater core just went. Probably unrelated??? Wow these things are a nightmare to change.
