1989 2.2L MX-6 turbo engine put into a 1996 Mazda 626 LX. Is it possible?

I have a 96 626 LX and I want it to be my project car. I thought about putting a 2.2L MX-6 turbo motor in it but what I would like to know is that would it fit in nicely or would it be way too much work. And if I could put the engine in, what would be the pros and cons?

I was told that the turbo it self would hook up directly to the 2.0L, thats the focus of my 626...if you are seriously interested in putting the 2.2 in why not just bore the cylinders of the original 2.0?

It could be done but it would cost too much because I'd have to change the pistons and do a lot of machine work in order for the engine to be able to handle all the power. That's why I want to know if the 2.2L motor would mount perfectly into my 1996 626. Has anyone tried to do this project or know someone who has done it?
