2003 Jetta CD error "3"

After inserting a CD into my player I received an error message that simply stated "CDP error 3." CD will not play or eject. Any suggestions?

I just came across the same problem.
First the stereo would not even turn on. Then after checking all the fuses in the fusebox, it started working again. Only I had a cd in there, and it will not come out and it will say "CDP Error 3".
Is that the same problem you had, and if it was, did you ever fix it?
