Question Name Brand exhaust "better"?

I was thinking about getting an exhaust for my 96 integra. My friend was telling me the Invidia exhaust is pretty good but I have yet to really find any real info like dyno charts on the exhaust. I was also reading some of the posts here about it being cheaper to buy my own muffler and have a shop weld on custom exhaust piping then buy a name brand premade exhaust.

I mainly am looking for performance. So I guess my main question is, is there a difference if I were to pick out my own muffler and get custom exhaust piping rather then get a name brand premade exhaust like the Invidia one? Also, does anyone actually have an Invidia exhaust on their Integra? If so what you think about it? Also, might anyone point me to any dyno charts showing almost no difference between a custom exhaust and a name brand one?

Thanks

Re: Name Brand exhaust

Usually brand names make a bigger difference on like twin turbos or supercharged, which is why those are usually the dynos you'll see in ads. A brand name will add a little more horsepower, but with the money you'll save by buying a generic($250-$350) to say an HKS, Skunk2 or GReddy($600-$750) you'll be able to buy somethin to more than make up for it, if you know what I mean.

Re: Re: Name Brand exhaust

honestly, its piping...

as spec said, on a n/a car, its not going to matter much.

diameter is more important than name for u right now...

get 2 1/4 in.
