Cross Member & Extended Warranty??
Not sure if anyone can help - but here's the situation. On the way home Friday my rear passanger side tire started wobblying. // and \\
I had it towed to the nearest dealer who promptly informed me that the bolts on the upper control arm had came out and broken off in the rear crossmember. They replaced the crossmember and one control arm bolt. $600 later they informed me it wasn't covered by the extended warranty.
Now we get to the problem. If my research is correct - the suspension in my car isn't even the kind that's covered under my warranty - but I'm not exactly the smartest automotive mechanic you've ever run into (that's a huge joke - I'm female & 30 and can change my oil & my tires, but that's about it).
My warranty covers (as written):
Rear leaf springs, rear coil springs, auxiliary springs, spring interliner, spring busing, spring shackle, u-bolt rear spring; spring hanger; axle trac bar; lateral link arm;shock mount plate; rear trailing arm assembly; stabilizer/sway bar; stabilizer/swar bar link & stabilizer/sway bar bushing
So my question is - am I looking at a type of suspension that is totally different than what the 2002 Chrysler Sebring has - or do you think this is a legit type of situation? I've already paid for the repairs - but fortunately (or is that unfortunately?) I work for lawyers and have their support if I'm getting screwed. Unfortunately - although they all are guys - they know NOTHING about cars.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Cajun
