next step

Sorry for the ignorance but I was hoping to get some ideas for what I should do next to make my 95 Accord EX faster. I have already done the intake, headers, and catback and plan on msd ignition. I have the stock engine and am not ready for a swap yet. I have been told there isn't much I can do with this motor and that I will probably max out at 180 hp because it can not be turboed. Suggestions please?

MSD ignition wont do much now.
Go for some head work - port/polish cam p/p throttle body & intake manifold.

What do you have for suspensions mod's? A well handling car is a fun car to drive.

Stay away from skunk2 coilovers, stick with H&R or Tein.

Did you just say that your 95 Honda Accord cannot be turboed!?!??! Whoa, if you did, then you are wrong! You can make your own turbo system by buying the parts spearately or you can buy a DRAG Gen 3 or 4 turbo kit. They retail for about $3500, the lowest I've seen is $2900.

If you want an all motor car, porting heads, upgrading pistons, cam gears/shafts, motor bushings, and whatever else would make your car a little more faster. There really is not much you can do with an F22B SOHC motor since they are fairly difficult to get power.

Ya, don't forget those motor mount bushings, they make your car SOOOOOO much faster, get red & it will be even faster

Getting a motor mount bushing colored red will not make your car go faster than a blue colored or black one. They all work the same giving the same horsepower gain.

I have this grounding kit for my accord that I have not hooked up yet due to the lack of instructions or none thereof. I makes the car go much smoother during idling, respond better, and also give your car that 3-5hp gain. If someone can help me out on this one, it will be greatly appreciated.

lol is that a serious reply? they obviously dont give any power, but they can actually help with better traction at the track.

Motor mount bushings do help you increase horsepower but they won't give you 10+ extra horses! When you talk about traction, you are talking suspension bushings. Motor and suspension bushings are different. Keeping old stock motor bushings will only wear your motor down and rob it of power. A few of my buddies have that motor bushing installed and they have the dyno charts to prove that it has created some kind of power but not significantly large amounts of power.

I was joking. Motor mounts bushings do NOT add any power, they just make better use of the power already there. They're also good for making your car into a 4 wheel vibrator.

Samething with sparky's grounding kit, frees up power thats already there. You would get the same effect by removing the A/C & power steering belt - free up power that there - NOT add power

Sorry for the confusion but I was told it could not be turboed, that the cylnder walls were too weak to withstand the boost. Thank you for your input I will have to check it out further.

Would you suggest going ahead with a swap because it is difficult to juice this motor for power? I am having a hard time getting my headers installed (I'd love to do them myself but alas no tools and no place to work on it

) much less getting a full swap done. I was hoping to put off a swap until next spring or so. Do I need to replace tha axles and modify the suspension to accomodate a swap?
