98 Starting Problemsddeloose 10-19-2003, 11:26 AM Sebring Convertable sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't. Replaced coil/distributor it started every time for a week now if it sets for more then ten hours there is nothing when you turn the key. The battery is still strong. Put jumper cabels on and it starts right up. Not sure what to do next? :banghead: Moparspirit 12-17-2003, 07:16 PM Not for sure on this, but it sounds like your Starter is going bad. You may want to get it checked. (actually the starter solenoid) You may also want to check your cables to make sure they are not corred and keeping the starter from getting full voltage. EDIT You may also have an Alternator going bad. Also the battery could still be bad, just hasn't gone dead yet. So I would have the Battery, Alt., and cables checked first. ddeloose 12-30-2003, 10:41 PM Thanks I did find that the cable to the starter was lose I backed it off and found some corrosion. Cleaned everything and put it back together has been starting fine ever since. THANKS quantrm1 11-23-2004, 03:39 PM I am going to change my starter soon. Can someone tell me where it is located before I get started? Thanks. bearcatdon 11-23-2004, 05:39 PM If you follow the positive battery lead, it will bring you to it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
