Headlight removal

I am trying to put in some euro bulbs on my 2003 Grand Am and I quickly tried to remove the headlight but I got stumped. I took off the ram air cover and then removed the two bolts but it was still in there. I looked around and found two little snaps behind the headlight but they did not budge. A friend of mine said I might have to take off the whole bumper. Someone give me a clue.

Thanks

I just did this for my 2000 SE.

You will have to pull back, then up.

There is a little locking 'nub' just under the tab.
I took a little flat screw driver and wedged it in enough to disengage it from the locking hole. You should be able to see it from above.

Pull up really hard! I used a screwdriver under the tab, with a dowel for a pivot. Make sure you have the nub disengaged.

The tab will pop up almost 1/2-inch.

What you are unlocking is the component used to align the whole headlight assembly. (the little white star shape)
I was able to get at the outer-most main bulb by just popping the outermost tab. If you're careful you should be able to pull the assembly out from the one side enough to unlock and replace.

Don't force it.
Good luck.
