I need to remove and replace my CD/Tape/radio but can't figure out how to remove the radio. Does anyone know how to go about this and if any special tools are required? Please advise.

If you'd asked about a 96, I could have helped you, I'd imagine the wood trim would come off, and then the air vents, which have screws inside, and then the big plastic thingy. I'm not sure about near the airbag, hopefully another member will know more.

Thanks tman2093 I'll check this out. I am assume the radio will unbolt from both sides and will slip out after turning the radio slightly. The wood trim should not be a problem with this design.

No special tools, just a #7 or #8mm socket and nut driver oughta handle it, It's not difficult at all with the earlier park aves.

Does the '96 Park Ave dash have just the screws, or is there snaps behind the panel holding it in? I have never done a radio change on this car & would like to keep from breaking the dash piece!

to do the 91-96 dash you do the following

The wood grain trim is held on with clips, just pry off the wood. Be sure to remove the small piece to the left of the wheel as well.

THe wood exposes a few screws that hold the black trim around the radio on, remove them.

Remove the air vents, turn them to one side and try to pry them out. Remove one screw from each duct, being careful not to drop the screw into the ductwork.

put the steering wheel into the lowest tilt position and put the shifter into the lowest setting. use the parking brake to prevent a roll.

the trim is held on with clips, jsut pull the dash off, there may be double stick tape around the air bag on the passneger side, use caution.

You should have full acces to the radio now, its held on with 3 screws.

Good luck

I suggest this issue be taken to PM messaging and not discussed in an open forum.
