Question GM is closing Oldsmobile. Will they still make the parts?

HI, my name is Jason. I have a 2003 Alero. GM announced that they are not making any Oldsmobile cars anymore. Does this mean that they will stop producing the parts as well. What if my car breaks in three or four years? How will I be able to get the parts that I need? Should it be a good idea to get rid of it now before its value goes down in the next year?

The rumour of GM stopping production of OLDS has been going on for years.
As far as parts go, Your car is on the N-body platform. You got the OLDS version of the Pontiac Grand AM, so parts will be no problem

GM announced sometime ago the 2004 would be the last production year for Oldsmobiles.

IIRC, manufacturers are required(?) to produce a certain amount of parts for at least 10 years after the car ceases production. Parts for last model years Olds shouldn't be a problem given the way they are selling and that GM produces many models based on the same platforms.
