Shoot, compare customer service and quality of work.

Hennessey is lucky to be alive yet alone still in business.

LPE is the benchmark for C5 tuning. Even people who aren't
that familiar with Vettes know what an LPE 427 TT is.

Expensive beyond reproach...$50k+ for the package plus
the $50k or so for the car, but hey you get a 2-year warranty.

I'll go with the safe and reliable choice...Lingenfelter...all day long.

hahahahahah its so funny cuz its true, i have friends that barly know what a car is but if you as them for the stats on the lingenfelter vette 427 they could tell you. there is 1 problem with vipers in general ive heard from people the own them that un reliable and adding another 400-500 horsepower isnt gunna help that much. As said abouve the quality and time the lingenfelter puts into all the cars they modify is alot better then any work henessy would do. I think the only other company for corvette tunig that comes close is mallett.

I'll take the Lingenfelter anyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

It's just as stated Lingenfelter is so much more trusted by the automotive community, just look at the last comparo Motortrend did and the Lingenfelter bested all of the cars out there on the roadcourse, even the Hennessey that supposedly had more hp.

Dollar for dollar and pound for pound Lingenfelter o0wnz ju.

I would definetly go with the Lingenfelter . its just such a sick car. has anybody seen what the new c6 is going to look like. Its crazy, they totally changed the style. it still has a little bit of the shape, but its weird it amost took on the look of the rx-8 and the 350-z. HERE LOOK FOR YOURSELF.http://www.lingenfeltercorvette.com/images/C6corvette.jpg

I REALLY HOPE IT WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THAT. it is far to japanese it has no resembleance of a muscle car any longer, i think i speek for most of us. i mean i hope it stays like the c5 but just a few of the lines are improved.

I have heard of people getting screwed by hennessey on the purchases of supposedly highly modified Vipers. Come to find out things weren't what they should have been.
I don't put up w/no bullshit, I'd put my hard-earned cash on Lingenfelter.

i guess the Ligenfelter but those are both highly modified cars and i think it would be a good competition.

That's not what the C6 will look like. The actual pictures are up all over the net now. It has alot of styling cues from the C5...

I think it would be a better comparison if you put the 1000hp vette from haltech against the 1000hp viper :)

I'm goona have to go with Lingenfelter on this one to. I've heard to much negative feedback on Hennessey to feel good about ever letting them work on my car. I do like the Viper though. Good things can become bad when they are put in the wrong hands.

I'm going to say this is a bad forum for this to be in. You need to put this in an unbiased forum such as car comparisons. Viper fans are unrepresented here. It's fairly strictly vette fans. I'm going to be the only asshole out of this group to say the Venom. If we're talking about the car and not the manufacturer, or the customer service or any of that I'd say the venom. Yes a venom will have more repairs needed, but that's to be expected out of a car with 275 more hp than the vette. If you're going to own such a car, you'd better have money to pay for repairs, or the know how to fix your car. A super tuner like these need to be fairly well maintained in any right. I'm feeling the stats a little more on the venom. You guys can pull out faster 1/4 mile and 0-60 times all you want, but the fact is that the viper is not geared for the 1/4 mile and if you droped drag gears in it and the auto drag tranny with the high stall torque converter from hennessey you lingenfelter lads are toast in the 1/4. But this isn't about the 1/4... this is about the all around best super car. Witholding the tuner's themselves, I'm going to say the venom is which 1 I'd rather own. now please some moderator move this to a diff forum. or please restart this in a more equal environment.

hmmmm.......interesting point about switching to forums. the viper is a really great and fun car to drive and so is the vette. Not everyone is as biased as you think. I would also go with the venom ONLY if it were compared to the lingenfelter 725hp corvette. Thats why i sugessted this be compared to the 1000hp corvette from halltech. Hennesy is also known for claiming their numbers. Like someone else said, john hennessey is lucky to be still in business.
