Question 02 5.9L R/T AutoTrans trouble

When I come to a stop the trans stays in second gear until I start moving and then goes from 2nd, to D, to OD,even under WOT from a complete stop it will not downshift to 1st.I can manual shift it into first but the truck must be stopped or it just doesn't shift ,even at 5 mph.
Once its in 1st I cant place the shift lever back to D or it goes right back to 2nd gear. After I start rolling I can go straight to D and it runs through the gears just fine, yet a little faster than normal, like short shifting a manual. It still pulls hard up through 5600rpm and shifts hard&tight through all gears. Fluids and services are parr,What's wrong?
(My guess is one of the electric shifter solinoids is bad.)

Could be governor pressure solenoid, or transducer sensor.

Trnny kick down adjustment

Have you had this truck since new?
If yes, has it done it since new?
If no, has the intake manifold gasket been replaced and the transmission kickdown cable adjuster on the right side of the throttle body been assembled and adjsuted properly? If it was a shift solenoid it would not manually go into first gear. I own a 99 R/T and I have raised my part throttle shift points to make the truck shift harder on the cruise strip and make it sound a little neater. Ya I know I'm a squrriel bait! But I accidently duplicated your symptoms when I was first playing with the adjuster.
