should i keep my jetta?

97' jetta, needs new clutch, doesn't start in the rain, engine periodically surges spontaneously yet doesn't go faster, cosmetically challenged, needs new brakes...if i spend ~$1300 on this car that is worth about $2200, what is going to go wrong next? i really like this car but it's beginning to become a real pain...it has 93,000 miles...

how much are you asking for it? it is going to waste if you can't do any of the repairs yourself and aren't willing to pay for it. why not sell it to someone who knows how and will take care of it...????????????
