2000 GA fuse/cig lighter?

Just bought a 2000 4door SE GA, I just noticed the cigarette light does not work. Is there a fuse/wiring diagram available online or should i just not waste my time and send it to the dealer to get it fixed?

The fuse for the lighter is in the engine compartment.

Open the hood.
Stand next to the front driver side wheel.
Face the engine.
Look down.

From left to right you should see:

Windshield washer fluid reservoir.
Airfilter box
Fuse box (it has a triangular hand nut)
Shock tower

Remove the cover to the fuse box.
In the inside of the of the cover should be a legend which tells you which fuse is the lighter.

There will be a set of white fuse pullers.
Use them, or rubber handled needle-nose pliers.

Pull and replace the lighter fuse.
(If you are lucky, the spare fuse should still be the same).

Check to see if the fuse is still good. The metal U shape should be broken if its bad. If the fuse is still good, its something else.

Lighters that have been used excessively could take a ridiculous amount of time to heat up...this is a worn lighter element. Buy a replacement.

Good Luck!

Don't force anything.
