i'm planning on buying a 2k4 base model 4x2 RAV4 before the end of the year. I've done a lot of research about how to treat the car. however before i goto the dealer to purchase it i'd like to get an estimate of how much is a "fair" price for the car.

i went on carsdirect and they say 18.7k is the MSRP. i went to one dealer and he was quoting me 18.8k another was quoting me 19.2k my friends think i can get it for 16.5k

details that might help you help me. base manual 4x2 rav4 with _only_ roof rack, no other options. no trade in.

any help anyone can give is very much appreciated.
