I think our manual says that our fog lights take 35w bulbs. I am gonna be upgrading to piaa h4 headlights soon, and i decided I need something for the fogs also. I looked at an auto store, and in their catalogs, they said that piaas only make 55w = 85w+ fog lights (H3). Is it perfectly fine to use those 55w fog lights to replace the stock ones? What do you recommend?

i have piaa 55 watt plasma's in headlights, and 55 watt piaa platinum's in my fogs..

no problems as of yet and havent burnt out or damaged the harnesses after 10 months of having them

when i used cheaper headlight bulbs they all burnt or broke...

piaa is top quality stuff and worth every penny. personally i'd rather pay more and not have headaches...

personally i like bright crystal clear fogs which is why i got the platinum... i got plasma's for the headlights cause i like the effect

some people like to keep things consistant so if you are looking for that and what a nice, clean, bright light, get platinums for the both the fogs and headlights...

the "platinums" are called "platinum super whites" aka "super whites"

the blubs have a blue hue to them, and the light is actually a very bright white. they come in 55 or 85 watt.
if you want the closest thing to HID, get the piaa Xtreme white's but be prepared to pay even more.

check out piaa's full line here.

no man your harnesses will burn, so put in 55w. if you wanna put 85 in, then you gotta buy a harness kit and upgrade your current wires and relays and shit with the new ones that can handle more power.

been using piaa's about 6months, no problems as of yet...even through the icy cold chicago weather. hehehe.

i use the superwhite and ion crystals as below on my signature. usually I dont use the fog lamp unless it's raining /snowing or fogged up pretty bad.

Ive got PIAA Xtreme Whites in my set up, both H3's and H4's. So far no problems with them, cept that I had to file some of the metal base on the H3's to get them to fit properly, just dont touch the glass portion of the bulb, if you do clean them really good, the oil from your fingers will shorten the life of the bulb.
