Nope, but that's what my friends are calling it. It's my new used car. 1998 Legacy L and I like it. Needs a little bit of paint work on the spoiler. There's a big scratch in it. Little clear coat scuff here and there, but from what I can tell, it will all polish out and isn't down to the color coat. I'd really like those door bumper things to be painted silver to match the body, but that's down the road a bit. Hub caps are a little beat up, but that's ok. The interior is very clean and neat. Can't wait to get a CD player though :naughty: . I like my car. Maybe my friends would appriciate their cars and mine a little more if they actually had to put money they earned into their cars. A lot of this money is saved money from the bank and some of it is from my insurance check from the truck, which was graduation money from my grandpa. I finally have a scoob, and as long as I can help it, I'll never own anything else!

Sweet! Color match your trim and door handles and you'll be stylin'! :D

Which motor do you have, then? 2.2L?

:cwm27: Ray, I should've listened to you in the first place when you told me how nice Scoobs were. And when the snow falls, I'll be the one still going the speed limit. Speaking of, I think I'm going to color match the mud flaps and keep'em on there to try and help protect from the salt and gravel they put on the roads here. That door trim will also get color matched. I'd also like the same for the door handles. I'm going to get an estimate and see how much more expensive it'd be to have a shop do it as opposed to buying a gallon of paint and clear and using my buddy's shop and spray gun. I figure it'd be worth it to have someone else do it professionally though. And this paint...it still sparkles. What does Subaru use, cause apparently Dodge doesn't use the same thing.

And Jay, it's a 2.2 of course. It's also a color match to another new used Scoob I've seen on here, but that other one looks better, IMO

:smokin: Right now, I'm pouring money into a sound system. I'm going to be building my own fiberglass box and amp rack for in the truck. I'm going with 3 12s and I think I'm going to be spending around $1500 all together, but as always, that's subject to go up. I need to find a decent price for 1/0 gauge wire so I can run my main power line. I'm not about to pay $4-7/foot if I don't have too. I'm gonna take a look at Lowes.

i hope you dont mean 10 guage wire. 10 is small i use 10 guage for my sub and its pushing only 250W right now. 2 guage is big ass stuff ive never seen nor heard of 1 guage is thats what you meant i dont think youll excede 2 guage its good for like 3kw or so

well, I figure 2 gauge would be some money saved. I actually found a source for 1/0 gauge for 2.25/ft, and there's a shop I'm talking to and do some business through looking for it even cheaper.

Edit: and no, I wasn't talking 10 gauge. That's what I had hooked up to the MTX 202 in my dakota...I have a moderate idea of what I'm talking about.

ok on second look i see what you were saying i saw 1/0 and figured it was a typo i get it now though you meant 1 or 0 guage right.

3 12s will take up quite a bit of space, as long as your not lookin to store alot of stuff I guess you'll be alright. I myself put a single 12 with intakes and I have about half my trunk left. Then again, I'm a skier so need all the space I can get.
What type of amp are you looking at getting? If you havent already got one I'd look on Ebay, they have some pretty killer deals.
Peace out,
- Dave

I'm going with two kicker CVRs. 1 4channel and 2 2channel California Profile amps. Won't be bad when I get it done and in. And Cargo space isn't really a need of mine.

If you guys love your Legacy's, you should try driving a turbo!
There is no comparison!
I was on a venture to buy a different AWD winter beater and stopped to check out a 92 Legacy L.
I really didn't like driving it at all, other than the e-brake being on the rear tires! (for those of you that don't know, all pre '90 Soobs have it on the front)
I thought it was slow and I hted the manual clutch.
I had a bias opinion though, b\c I had already driven a Legacy Turbo the day before.
Believe me when I tell you; if you ever get the chance to drive a Legacy Turbo 5-speed, which I doubt you will;drive it!
You'll love it!
Come check out mine!

hey i saw your legacy and it kicks ass.when i bought my Legacy 93 turbo , i had tried one just like yours and i loved the ride.but my turbo was too much on my mind . Youl see that in the winter your car RULES.
Of course you've got some work to do to have it your way then i am sure it will be amazing. just keep up the good work , Legacy is realy a Legacy. Have you ever tried a turbo from 90 to 94 ? these cars are too powerfull with so little hp.I also own a legacy 91 wich i rally it so much . I did stuff with that car incredible . but it does not top my 93 ... but luckly for me i dont drive reclesses as i did with my 91 . mostly with the sportshift ... Enjoy your car buddy because your part of a very rare club now The Legacy .(where peolple love their cars more than ... ... ... well thats up to you :-)

Nice Car BTW, I have the same Hubcaps as well!

Im planning on getting some black rims, stock spoiler, and CD player.

Since its only a 2.2L, I wont bother with any engine mods. Ill wait till I can afford the B4! :D

I've done the intake and exhaust. I figure that's all I'm doing as far as engine mods go. There's no real need for power to me right now. I just want something that looks nice. I'm putting most of my time into the interior. I believe Spring will hold a PS2 and screen built into the dash under the middle vents. The climate control until will be relocated to my armrest. I also need to find a way to put in the controls for my fire strobes and siren that will not interfere with my custom look.
