330Ci Racers?
I'm thinking of getting a 330Ci BMW most likely a used one and I wanted to know has anyone moded their 330Ci? Is it a good platform for modding? How much power can you make from the motor with stock internals? Does it drift well?

Re: 330Ci Racers?
Yeah, its a good platform to modifiy, but why do you want to go and race it? It probably won't drift to well since it is kind of heavy. You could get about 300-350rwhp with a bit of mods. Don't go and try and race it though. They weren't ment to be raced. If you want to go and race, go buy a Honda Civc and rice it.

Its lighter than the supra and everyone seems to think their god Only 350whp that kinda sucks. A CIVIC are you kidding me, why would I go from wanting a Rwd 6cyl with some power to a Fwd 4cyl with no power or class. (not to hate on honda people if you can make a cool fast civic more power to ya) Plus I want to be orginal everyone races a honda but not to many people race BMW or mod them at least

Re: 330Ci Racers?
If you really wanted to, I've seen people putting out about 500-700rwhp, but that was with a lot of upgrades. It does have good handling, so it would be nice on the track, but if you wreck your car out on the track, just remember, insurance is not going to pay for it. What body style are you taking about. I'm kind of guessing the coupe, but I guess you could be talking about the sedan.

Save some more money, and get a m3. With the power you are looking for, too much money is required. Plus, reliability is a consideration. Do you really want the crack open the engine and spend like 5-6k that would only get you to maybe ~320hp, and void the warranty?? A M3 on the other hand would be a good daily driver and will perform great at the track. good luck
BMW hands down the best luxury sport car.

I would but I really cant afford the M3 I would only be getting the 330CI because I can get one used. And even then I cutting it close I'm still in school so I dont have a job. Maybe I wont be able to hook up a BMW like I had hoped, might just have to go import (like everyone )

Re: 330Ci Racers?
Maybe if you're still in school, a BMW isn't a good idea. Just finish school, get a good job, then worry about getting the BMW. Just geta cheap car for now, and save your money for school.
