Does anyone know how to solve this problem. I am trying to open either front or back compartments with the key to no success. When I try using the to levers on the sil by the drivers door, they don't work. You can't even lift them, they are acting like they are locked. Can anyone help?

BTW, this is for a 1998 Boxster.

OK, since no one seems to know or had any ideas I ended up just taking it to the shop.

Here's what they found after hooking up the diagnostic computer. There was a "mini fuse" blown that disabled the locking mechanism for both compartments. The fuse panel for this "mini fuse" is located under the drivers side seat. The main fuse panel, located left of the pedals, are for the main functions of the car, while the mini panel is for the secondary functions like the front and back compartments.

Also, there are cables that would release the locking mechanisms but very difficult to get to.
