1997 Monte Carlo

How can I reprogram the ECU in this car? Will Hypertech Power Programmer work?

Re: 1997 Monte Carlo

Doubt it...1997 was the first year of full ODBII code. You probably don't even have an ECU. You probably have a PCM..or an early version of the PCM the newer cars use. Go to this site: http://www.digitalhorsepowerinc.com and contact them. They may be able to help you. Note that their site isn't fully up yet, but you can still mail them.

www.domesticperformance.com should also have some chips, but they're $$. If they don't list one, call the guy and he should be able to have one made.
