ok i have some turbo questions that are probably really stupid but if i dont ask i will never know

Can i leave my stock turbo on and just gain power buy putting add ons on. for example like an aftermarket intercooler.....i wanna keep the stock turbo on the gst but wanna get more power out of it without harming the engine too much any ideas?? I also want the turbo to be heard a little more if i run an aftermarket hks blow off valve will it be louder then the stock blow off valve? and how many lbs of psi does the stock turbo run at and what can i max it out at?

I know these are probobally all stupid questions and ur probably laughing at them but i dont knwo the answers and i have to ask someone to get them. So please just help me out.

Yes, you can always gain more power from the engine, without upgrading turbos. To get power from the stock TURBO though, you will have to increase psi (i dont know what the max safe psi is). An intercooler isn't close to the first modifications that you'll want to do for more power. After you get a BOV, yes it might make more sound depending on what you get, for example.. intake and exhaust will be before intercooler.

I would question if you even need or want a new intercooler if you stay with stock turbo.. I don't know if I would.

alright newbie this is what you do..

first get a intake which is a new cone style filter and tubing to the turbo inlet. then get a 3' downpipe and exhaust, then get the fmic and i\c piping, and a bov, then get a new fule pump 255lb prefebaly.. then get a greedy profec b and a apex-i s-afc, turn your boost up to about 14psi(no more then 16 tho b\c you dont have proper fuel managment and the stock t-25 dosent go more the 16psi i believe) then tune the added fule and air with the apex-i safc for maximum hp.. i seen dsm with 350+hp@ wheels with this setup..

for better help visit dsm tuners (www.dsmtuners.com) and visit the tuning guide there.

good luck
