Neon Timing Cover

I am trying to remove the timing cover to change a head gasket. However, I can't seem to remove the passanger engine mount. The part that bolts to the timing cover, not the part that screws into the top of the fender. There doesn't seem to be enough clearance to remove the three bolts; when I pull them out they hit the inner side of the fender. Is there some trick that I am missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just did mine a couple of months ago and ran into the same problem. We had to put a jack under the car and raise the engine to remove the bolts.

Lordie I can't explain it....but I'll try.

I think if I remember right, if you take the right wheel off the car there's a small opening in the fender that you can get an extension (on a rachet) through to get to the side motor mount.
