Question low/no air flow on '91

Does anyone know of a simple(easy) fix for the poor air flow from the ventilation system on Corsica's? I have replaced the blower motor and it didn't help and the problem is getting worse. I don't want to take the blower housing off the firewall if I don't have to. I know this is a common problem with these cars.

airflow

well I know exactly what your talking about i had the same problem and i also replaced the fan and nothing , so i decided to take the the blower housing off and what a mess i found in there, the A/C core ( if yours is equipped with it) was cover and i mean cover i could barely tell it was the core and i tried blowing all the crap out with my compressor but nothing since its gotten in there so deep, so i had to do the one thing that i didnt want to do, take out the dash and take out the heater housing ( took all day) and had to clean through the fins from inside out and vise versa , that was just the other day on saturday but i can now say i've got airflow again i noticed that iu would loose a little flow every year but thought nothing of it until thursday when it was cold and my front windshield wouldnt defrost i could hear the fan screaming but nothing was coming out, can i make one more suggestion if you have an old piece of screen , from a door or buy some cover the area where the air flows in from under the hood on the cowl panel and it should stay cleaner for a lot longer, dont know why GM would make something that is so exposed to dirt and grime especially in an area where its forced , I mean where else coulkd this shit go except into the grid, good luck guy if you need any help guiding you through just ask
