AC turned on slows the idle downkidrcth 09-17-2003, 05:58 AM Alright i'm doing this for a friend so work with me. When he is driving normally the idle will be ok, as soon as he turns it on the idle slows so much the car starts to shake radically, due to the low idle. Alright, what could be a possible problem for this? thanks in advance. RigsPGT 10-12-2003, 02:04 AM Seems like the IAC (idle air control valve) is sticking from carbon buildup. This is the bottom part of the TB (throtle body) that has 2 coolant lines and a big vaccum port. In order to fix it u either have to clean it with some TB spray (i've done mine) or if its shoot u need another bottom unit. Here's a good thread on probetalk that relates to idle/iac etc---->IACs (http://www.probetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1701054319) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
