I priced a 6 spd. RX-8 with the GT pkg. at a dealership in NY around mid august and they had a $4500 markup. A week later I went to St. Louis and bought the same car for sticker. I suppose these cars are going for a premium on the coasts, but the demand isn't high in the midwest, everyone wants their H2s and Hemi Rams.

I got my 6 speed RX-8 with GT package RED with RED/BLACK interior in Fresno for EXaCTLY MSRP $31,100. The dealer wouldn't budge and I didn't feel like the trouble. I had a bad experience in Modesto because they didn't want to come down to 31,000 for the same car. They had this wonderful thing there at Modesto called a 2800 dollar "markup"...

well actually its not mine its my dad's (im 16) but i went with when he bought the shit. i live in las vegas and at all the mazda dealers they start at like 26,700 with nothing on it at all. bone stock. the most tricked out with everything including a 2,000 navigation system is $35,000. the one i bought had evrything but the naviGATION (dont need it) and it costed me 29,500. with my ford discount (s-plan) but i got it down this much because i was about to leave the dealership because this stupid ass salesman didn't have a clue to what he was talking about, but then it all worked out in the end......

I bought my RX8 M/T GT with every option less Nav. I saved $1800 off sticker by going in during a snow storm and the ice was so thick you couldn't get in the car. I also shopped for 6 months.

I don't understand. You are limited in RPM and 210hp. Does the torque change things much? Don't get me wrong, LOVE the car!

I got a Titanium Silver with the GT package, spare tire kit, spoiler, splash guards, 6 In-dash cd changer for 29000. That's $2500 less than what they were asking... I live in CT. and I shopped for only a week, but went to virtually all the dealerships to get this deal.

Re: Buying Price MSRP?
I'm hoping to put 14G or 15G down. I'll see what's open to me with that.
