I am having the same problem with my 2000 Rodeo. I'm trying to get to the taillight bulb on the driver side and have undone the 2 screws on the side as well as the one underneath but it still doesn't seem to want to come out. Were you able to figure out?
Thanks

Nevermind. If I had taken just a little longer the first time I would have figured it out. I've replaced the bulb.

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
I can't figure how to get the tail light out to replace the brake bulb. How do you get the bottom screws out w/out taking off the bumper? It's a 1999 Rodeo. I've checked all the threads in this forum. Thanks.

Thanks, but my problem is I can't figure out how to take out the bottom screw. I'm mechanically challenged I guess.

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
I still can't figure out how to get to the bottom screw (between the bumper and the bottom of the assembly). There's hardly room for the thickness of a finger let aone a screwdriver...and that's with the screw all the way in. What am I doing wring?

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
You need a long narrow screw driver to get it out.

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
Thanks for all the help. The problem was I was looking at the wrong bottom screw. The only ones I could see attached a piece of trim to the bottom of the assymbly. I couldn't see the one that attached the assymbly to the body!

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
I am sorry, can someone please tell me where the screw that attaches the assembly to the body located? is it located behind the small piece of trim at the bottom of the light assembly? I am having a hard time locating the third screw? Thank you in advance!!

Re: Taillight bulb replacement
Theres the 2 on the side and ones on the bottom towards the inside of the truck. Its sorta hard to see and you need to use a long screwdriver to get it out. Its basically right above the bumper.

it's so simple but so hard...just get a flashlight and look at the bottom of the glass assembly...it's a dark phillip's head at the bottom rear of the assembly.
