Spark plugs
Can anyone let me know the correct spark plugs to put into an 2000 Isuzu Rodeo 4WD?
Our Rodeo was having some trouble, so we replaced the spark plugs with Bosch platinum plugs. After 4 trips to the dealer, in the last 2 weeks, paying thru the nose each time, they are now telling us that the problem is the spark plugs. They insist we must use Champion plugs. My husband feels Champion plugs are inferior and thought he was doing a good thing by putting in better plugs.
Because our the service dept with our dealer has not dealt fairly with us in the past, I called another dealer, who told us to use Denso plugs.
Then I called Isuzu directly and they told us to use NGK (they said Denso was ok too) But said that the only plugs they do NOT recommend is Champion--funny but that was what was factory installed.
We are getting a P1340 error - ignition circuit sensor error-Check engine light is always on- misfires when started in morning. After replacing the fuel regulator, they now say it is the spark plugs.
Of course warranty ran out 1 month ago and we only have 26,600 miles on the car.
Thanks
Jenny
