Suspension Issues.
I have a 1998 GT with about 110 on it. Saturday i noticed what started off as a squeak, and shortly later (2 or 3 miles) was something that almost made me think my wheel was broke. it sounded like thick rubber being flexed and stretched. my first though was wheel bearing, not CV because it didn't do it any worse or less when you turned. the bottom line is somehow, i cracked my stabilizer, bent my axle, and ground up my wheel bearing (probably from the bent axle). now i have it completely apart except for the last 2 steps. popping the ball joint and actually pulling the axle. this is where i have hit a snag. the ball joint stud turns with the nut. I was told to pound the seperator in there to try to reseat the stud, but it doesn't change anything. has anybody had this problem before, or do you have any suggestions. this is my only vehicle up on jackstands in my garage, i need help ASAP.
