'87 Caprice Ls W/305

I want dual exhaust...but I hear alot of people say dont bother with the 305 with aftermarket equipment...is it it really bad with this year type of caprice? What could anyone suggest to me as in mods to the engine...any little piece of power would be of help to me.

One more question...how bad is having a backed up catalyic converter on this car.....I've had it for about 5 months and since I've had it all I've got done to it was a tune-up (had a new tranny in there when i bought it)..and she ran 100% better after that...any help??

If I was you I would look at Jegs for any parts for 87 305 firebirds and camaros depending on your setup being TPI, CARB or TBI. Most dual kits for these cars are just one pipe coming from cat to one muffler then 2 pipes splitting so its kinda fake dual.

Fake duals??..Damn that sucks....but Im gonna look into that tho...thanks
