headlights and various electrical problems???

ok i have a 99 chevy prizm and i just got done putting a new CD player in it and now for some reason my interior lights or gauges and dash does not light up at all!!! its dark and they should light up i dont know whats going on? someone please help, also while putting my amp in and unscrewing the postitive terminal i hit the neg with my wrench and sparks went everywhere, also after about 5 min of driving my amp decided not to make any bass anymore but the indicator light still was on? could i have blown a fuse of some kind

You know I just bought my `01 and the guages don't work either. The lights on the center console (heaters/AC/Stereo) work fine but the guages don't at all. if all you're lights are not working, then it could be a fuse not from what I heard, if the guages don't work but everything else works, then the bulbs burned out if all burned at the same time you probably shorted them and the fuse went out.

It looks like the car comes with separate fuses for separate parks on the console.(turn signals, guages, and other)

Hope this somehow helps.
Let me know if you get it working.
