Has anyone installed a aftermarket cd player.Help

Hi, I am trying to find CD Player installation kits to fit in a 2002 cavalier. Could people please give me info or websites to find these.

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a 1-1/2 DIN style or Double DIN style into the cavalier? Installation kits for these? THANKS

ok heres the deal.... the reason you cant find kits is b/c your car wont really work without the factory cd player in there. its like everything is wired through your cd player so the car wont work without it. if you want the look of an aftermarket cd player, you have to take the factory cd player out but keep it wired and just have it somewhere else like the trunk. yea... it sucks. if that doesnt give you enough detail see one of your specialty shops and they can tell you the whole deal

nah dude... seriously dont take out your factory cd player without talking to some sort of expert. apparently if you take it out and drive your airbags could go off and all kinds of other stuff will happen. just lettin ya know before you do anything

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize the cav was going to be that technical of an install. I know how to install a system but have never done one with the technical issues like hondas. Anyways, I am in no hurry and will figure it out before I do it.

One main thing I would like to know is if anybody is putting 1 1/2 or double din size recievers into there newer style cavaliers? It looks to me to be enough space for a double din but I have had no luck finding a faceplate or installation kit for anything but a regular size reciever head unit.

Hey that airbag thing is a bunch of bullshit made up by Chevy. My brother got a 2003 Xtreme and it has the RDS and he had the headunit changed and everything works fine. He had to buy like a $70 part to keep his stupid ass door chime though. He didnt have to relocate the factory one either its all a crock of shit.
