Hey Im trying to pull the engine out of a 98 Dodge Neon that im stripping and selling for parts. I cant figure out how to remove the axels from the transmission. I have pulled and pryed for over an hour and I just cant get the things to come out of the transmission. I noticed theres a " plate " that Turns on the tranny housing, does that have anything to do with getting the axel out of the tranny?
Please help me out.. I have already sold this engine and was supposed to have it shipped already!

get a flat head and then use a hammer and tap the metal ring on the joint that is going into the tranny. it has a locking feature.. only way i can get mine out
