cleaning a cold air intake filter?

i bought an injen cold air intake and know that the filter itself can be cleaned. i just don't know what to use. . conpressed air, water, soap and water, cleaning solutions? any advice would be helpful. thanks

I use really hot water.... works fine for me

i heard that you are supposed to use some sort of oil after you clean the filter. hear anything about it?

K&N filters require some sort of oil ..... but i dont know about other brands, check your local Auto. Store and see if they have anything made for cleaning filters....
