My 95 Odyssey leaks oil around the oil pan. I am assuming it is coming from the the gasket. I've gotten estimates from independent repair shops ($78) to Honda dealerships ($230). What's involved and what's a fair price?

There is ? since when. Never heard of such a recall. unless you are talking about the balancer shaft seal retainer recall in which case there was a time limit on them and that campaign is now over so everyone who hasn't had it don must now pay for it.
