The engine is fine, unless you plan on towing a large boat or something like that. If I were planning to do that, I would have bought a Ford monstrocity with a 5+ liter engine. But it is nice not having to gas up every day. This is really just a large station wagon that looks like an SUV, which is fine, since it is replacing a station wagon.
