funny thing just happened

i was sitting in the kitchen at my house and my dog, a good size husky, was sleeping by the front door, when i would say maybe a 10 year old kid selling candy bars waled up the driveway and stopped by the sidewalk and my dog started growling and barking, the kid stopped and started crying right there, then ran away with his box of candy bars, to bad he didnt leave the box of candy bars. it would have been cool. thought it was funny so i thought i would share.

Has anybody ever told you that you have a sadistic sense of humor?

Man my dog does things like that a lot, I'm surprised he hasn't be labeled a kid-eater even when I'm walking him they stray outta the way, but I'd say the funniest thing that he ever did was when he was a puppy and had his " I'm Gonna HUMP Anything That Moves" stage and a kid was selling calendars or something like that for Scouts and my dog got out of the house and started making it with that poor bastards leg and he started to cry . And I still never bought a calendar from him either.

You need to go back and edit your post. It appears, via your post, that you got some kind of humour from the young kid crying and running away.

You would have found it better if he'd abandoned his candy and ended up having to pay for the lot out of his own pocket? What an asshole.Think on this. Not all dogs are friendly. It only takes one to give a kid a good nip,or jump up unexpectedly and knock him over, and he's likely to be wary of all dogs for a long time.A large husky, barking and growling,is not a friendly animal in the eyes of a small child. If you can't keep your dog under control,at least accept that people don't find it at all amusing when you come in here bragging about it.

I thought it was funny

was the dog on a leash or in an cage? If it wasn't, i could understand why he got scared and ran away.

Well, I did ask him to explain it, and it is relivent. Had the dog been outside, and unleashed, the kid would have had a better reason to be scared. However the dog was inside, and could not harm the kid. I find the fact that he still got scared and ran away, even though the dog could not harm him, is amusing. Of course, one can never tell why kids do the things they do.

Perhaps he was mauled by a dog prior to this incedent?
I remember a little kid who had a dog bite his face and had to go to the hospital for stitches - after that even a chihuahua would have him running for cover.
