I painted my heatshield...
I got tired of the old nasty one so I bought a $4 can of black engine paint, sanded her up and went to town. Let me know what you think...

Have you tried hosting them somewhere like Imagestation or something?
Also, I dunno if youve already tried this, but you can go to automotiveforums.com/upload and upload them there and then use the img code it gives you. Sorry for a useless post if youve already tried those and they didnt work.

High temp of course. Just sanded it with fine grit, painted like 4 coats and was done, no primer or clearcoat needed. The engine cost sort of robbed me of being able to buy a header so I'm going the poor man's route for now

That's really clean looking. I bet that destroyed your hands though... I need to sand the lettering on my block and shine em up a bit. Did you do anything besides sanding like adding any chemicals?

nah really didnt destroy my hands i took off the valve cover when i did it. but i did get kinda dirty but its ok. i sanded it with 3 different grits of sand paper, and i put some rubbing compound (3m) on it. then when i was all done i put some others billet/aluminum polish on it and now it is really really shiny

momo wires are reliable, but the brand doesn't matter too much at all unless you get some kind of msd ignition.

Ricochet,
It looks real clean, Did you use some type of clear coat. After driving for a while did the shine dull. I won't mind doing that to my wife's Honda Pilot. I know you use high temp but what brand?
